Hi. I'm Dave. I spent a long time in the same place, saving up to make that place my very own. Now that it is, well, I can afford to take off a while. How long? Dunno. Where ya goin'? Out. :*)

This will be a place for me to share my adventures with my friends (new and old) and family (new and old). Maybe remind myself of what I meant to do a while back..

My goals for this road trip? Heck, what's the goal of any road trip? I suppose for starters, to play a lot of music with a lot of folks. Mostly just to meet a lot of folks, I guess. For the first little while, I'm headed from folk festival to folk festival. But I'm not limiting myself that way -- I figure on learning to surf, spending some time sailing _somewhere_. Probably washing dishes or slinging hash here and there.

How am I gonna get there? Glad you asked. Me an my dog ramblin' Joe will be riding in an old pickup truck, crusty on the outside, pretty solid under the hood. Sleepin either in the back, or if we're gonna stay a while someplace, in the trailer we're pulling behind.

Figure, get someplace nice, stay a week for every day it took to get there from the last place. Maybe set out exploring w/o the trailer while we're there.

Ok, that's enough for now.

Departure date? Say, October 15. That's a Monday, so I may take off sooner. First stop, Black Mountain folk festival.
